This is pen and ink assignment of an animal using stipple as a design element. Thousands of dots were used to create the impression of this elephant. Enjoy!

WOAH! Thank you so much for selecting this as a DD. I know this praise is a bit late, but I haven't been on in a while and just found out yesterday. I'm speechless and overwhelmed by the positive comments that have been given. I'm just happy there are people out there that like it! It took a little over 20hrs to complete (about a week off and on) and I really didn't think I would get it done in time but it worked out well.

That's crazy!! I tried that once, but it took too long so I gave up. How long did it take u to do this?? It turned out really nice.

Thank you so much for your previous comment. It was very time consuming and took over 20 hrs to complete. However, it was very relaxing to sit there and just plot dots while listening to music or the TV. I worked on it 3hrs a day for about a week. I'm going to do more animal stippled peices to build my portfolio. I'll post more as soon as I'm done.

Elephants are my favorite animal and i really LOVE this the shadows and the light spots are amazing.

Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it. It's my first stipple piece and I'm just glad it turned out looking like an elephant and not a big glob of crap! :)
